Worker's Compliance Agreement (WCA) Guidance
Thank you for your commitment to volunteer in CEF of Northern Virginia in a Good News Club or another CEF ministry.
CEF requires those who are all involved in teaching, leadership, or other staff responsibilities to sign the Worker's Compliance Agreement at the beginning of each CEF ministry year (September - August). This includes all paid or volunteer staff, committee members, GNC area coordinators, and GNC Team leader. The Worker's Compliance Agreement includes the CEF Doctrinal Protection Policy, which requires adherence to the CEF Statement of Faith.
We have some guidelines based on age and position:
1. For new, first-year workers 18 years and older (paid or volunteer), the CEF Statement of Faith and Worker's Compliance Agreement are integral to the online Child Protection application process. Please read them, fill out the form, and then press the submit button below. You may want to go back to STEP 2 on the volunteer Application page by clicking the link: Volunteer Application
2. For new workers (paid or volunteer) at the age of 14 through 17, Please complete the items below as follows and you will be interviewed by CEF staff or a team leader who you are working with:
1) Download and fill out the Confidential Screening form & Background/Reference Check Authorization (downloadable). Please return the completed and signed form in person, by mail, or by e-mail to [email protected] or to CEF of NOVA (8001 Forbes Place, Suite 101, Springfield, VA 22151).
2) Click the link of Protecting Today's Child video online to watch it. It takes about 9 minutes.
3) Read Child Protection Policy (downloadable)
4) Fill out the Worker's Compliance Agreement below and submit.
* Special Note: Volunteers under age 14 must: 1) Always be under the direct supervision of a screened worker aged 16 or above; 2) Never be supervised by a single individual (adult or minor).

3. All CEF staff, teachers (including all volunteers) and those in leadership positions must sign the Worker's Compliance Agreement annually. The Northern Virginia chapter has a simple way for you to fill out and submit the form to us.
