PictureE.J. (의정) & Esther (에스더) Hwang
When God called E.J. to work for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Northern Virginia in 2007, he had taught students English and Literature at a few colleges in Seoul since 1998. CEF of Northern Virginia was looking for a Korean worker who could train people to reach out to Korean children in Northern Virginia. E.J. prayed fervently for God’s direction when he was asked to work for CEF, because it meant leaving his family, friends, and even his job in Korea.

God confirmed His calling using His Word (Matthew 6:33), some mentors, and even a tragic shooting at Virginia Tech in 2007. Matt. 6:33, "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness..." was God's reminder as he finally obeyed His calling to work for CEF of Northern Virginia. It was a giant step of faith for him. However, he later realized that obeying Him was a great blessing, because God had prepared the way for him in advance. Even God had a wonderful plan for E.J. to get married to Esther, who was a children’s pastor at a local Korean church. Their two daughters, Evelyn and Eliana, have been a great blessing and have become a wonderful team for serving their Lord.

God had been so faithful by meeting all his needs as E.J. completed his diploma from CMI (Children's Ministries Institute) in 2007 and earned his Master of Divinity (Summa cum Laude) from Capital Seminary and Graduate School in 2016, while he was working/enjoying as a full-time missionary, a full-time husband, and dad.

His focus has been on training children's workers to reach out to the boys and girls through the ministries of CEF. He loves to play together, pray together, and plan together with his family.

Raymond Seto came to know Christ during his first year in college while studying aerospace engineering. During college, Raymond joined Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, attending their Bible studies and meetings. He eventually led small group Bible studies and became the small group leader coordinator within his dormitory. It was in college that the Lord placed in his heart a desire for missionary work with plans to pursue seminary training. After college, the Lord provided the opportunity for Raymond to be part of a church planting team in Elmhurst, NY. During this time, the Lord opened a door for Raymond to attend Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. While in seminary, he served in another church planting team in South Philadelphia, PA. Upon graduation from Westminster in 2007, Raymond began serving as Pastoral Intern/Director of English Ministry at the Chinese Christian Church of Virginia (CCCVA). On January 2015, Raymond's internship ended with CCCVA and he began serving at Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), diving right in with the Children's Ministry Institute, which he completed in April 2015. Currently, Raymond is serving CEF in Northern Virginia as a Field Missionary.
